NIOS / NOS Easy Paper for 10th Class

HI guys…
My friend who is 8th passed is now planning to continue his education from National Open School (NIOS/NOS). He passed his 8th exam in the year 2000. So there is a long gap of study. He is professional and working in a restaurant as a trainee chef.
Can anyone tell me some easy papers he may choose for the 10th exam from NIOS? I have suggested him to Hindi, Music, Typing, Steno and other vocational papers. Can anyone suggest more?

When the NIOS result of the year 2012 will be out? I am waiting for the result as one of my friends is daily asking me about when the result is coming. I just checked the website nios.ac.in but there is no news about the latest result.

Do you have any idea?

My cousin is doing his 10th from the NIOS. He is very week in Science and Technology. I have bought some good books to him. But still he is not doing well in Science. I want to see him in Science stream in XII. Please guide me some best books for NIOS subject.

Also suggest me NIOS Science Practical books.
